The Housing Committee will question the newly appointed Deputy Mayor for Housing, James Murray. The meeting will cover some of the new Mayor’s key housing proposals including:
- Upping the pace of housebuilding in London
- Delivering more genuinely affordable homes
- Improving renting for Londoners
- Tackling homelessness

Transport for London
Plenary – 10:00am in the Chamber
Mayor Sadiq Khan and TfL Commissioner Mike Brown MVO will be questioned on a range of transport issues at a meeting of the full Assembly. The following topics will be discussed:
- TfL – past and future
- The Mayor’s transport manifesto
- Reducing traffic in London
- The black cab trade
Following this, Assembly Members will submit motions on various topics.

Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime – Confirmation Hearing
Police & Crime Committee – 10:00am in the Chamber
Councillor Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor of Hackney, has been proposed by the Mayor for the office of Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. The Committee will question Councillor Linden and make its recommendation to the Mayor on her appointment.

Chair of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) and Deputy Chair of Transport for London
Confirmation Hearings Committee – 2.00pm in the Chamber
Fiona Twycross AM has been proposed for the office of Chair of LFEPA and Valerie Shawcross CBE has been proposed for the office of Deputy Chair of Transport for London. Assembly Members will question the Mayor’s proposed appointees and make its recommendations to the Mayor on their appointments.
