Health Committee – Access to GP Care

Dr Onkar Sahota AM, Chair of the London Assembly Health Committee, will launch the report: ‘Access to GP Care’, where he will discuss the issue of low GP morale, retention and access. He will be joined by Dr Ross Dyer-Smith, Deputy Medical Director of the Hurley Group and Kathleen Herron, a patient representative – all will be available for interviews.

The Environment Committee will receive an update on the Mayor’s Biodiversity Strategy and examine if the Committee’s recommendations have been taken on board.

Tuberculosis care and treatment

Health Committee - Whittington Hospital TB Unit,

Magdala Avenue, N19 5NF – 9:30-11:00am

The Health Committee will get an overview of the pathway from Tuberculosis diagnosis through to treatment and the issues faced by London in tackling the disease. Members will speak to clinical and nursing staff to gain insight into specific challenges relating to TB management.

Chairman’s Event – Police Volunteers Reception

6.30-8.30pm in London’s Living Room

Chairman of the London Assembly, Roger Evans AM, is holding a Police Volunteers Reception, to celebrate the work and commitment of London’s police volunteers.

The reception will bring together a whole host of police volunteers from across London, including Special Constables, Volunteer Police Cadets, Met Police Volunteers and Neighbourhood Watch representatives.
