Motion detail

Sian Berry AM proposed, and Zack Polanski AM seconded, the following motion:

"This Assembly notes that it has the power in Schedule 6, section 5(3) and 8(3) of the GLA Act 1999 to amend the Mayor’s budget each year. This Assembly also notes that in order to exercise this power the Assembly requires the Mayor to provide sufficient information on the spending plans and liabilities of the GLA. We therefore call on the Mayor to provide a broad estimate of the cost of immediately cancelling Silvertown Road Tunnel, suitable for use in a budget amendment, by no later than the publication date of the final draft consolidated budget."

Following the debate and upon being put to the vote, the motion was agreed, with 11 votes being cast in favour and 0 voted being cast against.
