Andrew Boff AM moved, and Susan Hall AM seconded the following amended motion:
“This Assembly calls on the Mayor to work with TfL, subject to budgetary constraints, to reconsider its approach to naming Cycleways, and to rename the CS3 Cycleway 'The Joshua Wong Cycleway', for as long as any of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy campaigners remain imprisoned. TfL should consult widely with the London public further on this and other re-naming. It may be appropriate that we consult with the Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm on further re-naming of cycleways.”
Following debate and upon being put to a vote, the amended motion was agreed (13 votes being cast in favour, and 4 votes being cast against).
