There are lots of ways you can get involved with our work in and around your local community. We have volunteering opportunities across the year. Whether your interests lie in cleaning and greening, public artwork or being part of our community sounding boards, sign up for our opportunities below.

Let's Clean Up - towpath and canal clean ups

Partnering with Canal and River Trust, we have launched a volunteering and biodiversity programme on the Grand Union Canal in Old Oak and Park Royal. We aim to improve the environmental conditions of the canal and we invite the local community to be part of a legacy of volunteering. Activities involve litter picking, managing and cutting back overgrown vegetation, and planting.

What's in it for you?

The clean ups offer a great way to meet other local volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

What skills are we looking for?

No speciality skills needed. Please wear clothes appropriate for weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket) and sturdy footwear. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support.

Dates run frequently throughout the month. Sign up and take part here.
