The London Assembly Environment Committee recognises that it is important to educate and engage Londoners about ways to ensure edible food is not wasted.
As part of its investigation into waste and recycling, the Committee has written letters to the Mayor of London, Steve Barclay, Secretary of State for Defra and four waste authorities in London.
The four Waste Authorities addressed are:
- Western Riverside Waste Authority
- East London Waste Authority
- West London Waste Authority
- North London Waste Authority
