Working Paper 48: Culture and regeneration

Despite much research, there have been few comprehensive evaluations of culture-led regeneration schemes and so a good evidence base does not exist.

A review of the limited evidence shows mixed results and much uncertainty of the impact of culture-led regeneration.Current evaluation measures are not appropriate for understanding the long-term and dynamic changes that regeneration schemes may cause and instead these schemes should be monitored, focussing on both people and places.
