About the event

On the morning of 7 July 2005, four coordinated suicide attacks were carried out by terrorists in London. The terrorists targeted commuters travelling on public transport during the morning rush hour. It was the worst single terrorist atrocity on British soil.

We honour the 52-people killed and 700 injured, we will never forget those who lost their lives.

About the ceremony

The Mayor of London and representatives of the key agencies and emergency services will pay tribute to the victims during the annual wreath laying ceremony. This is a tribute of rememberance to honour the people killed and injured and their families, and to the first reponsders and other members of the public who were intimately involved in the event and aftermath.

There is a personal commemoration service for survivors and bereaved families following the wreath laying ceremony. This service is an intimate moment and will include music from the London International Gospel Choir, a series of readings and the laying of flowers by bereaved families and survivors.

We ask that members of the public remember the victims, bereaved and survivors by watching via the 7 July Community YouTube Channel.
