To help support you through the process of the UK leaving the European Union, we created the EU Londoners Hub.
What you'll find on the Hub
After meeting with European Union citizens who live, work and represent their respective communities here, we initially produced a list of FAQs to help with any urgent questions like, ‘What are Settled and pre-Settled Status?’ and ‘Who needs to apply?’.
But we knew we could provide more guidance and resources to really help EU citizens through this uncertain period and so we set about adding more features to the Hub.
We started with an eligibility checker. Using this tool, EU citizens can check if they’re eligible to stay in the UK and how to apply for Settled or pre-Settled Status. This section of the Hub also provides more information about the application process with options to download a checklist of documents to help users prepare. Once ready to apply, users can click on a direct link to the Government website.
We were keen to make the Hub as inclusive as possible and so created the ‘Read in your language’ section, providing access to documents and videos translated into 27 languages. The section’s purpose is to ensure that all EU communities understand their rights and how to stay in the UK if they wish, despite any English language barriers.
We wanted to include information about the many organisations providing further support to EU Londoners who may have additional needs or concerns. We did this by creating an interactive map which allows users to search by postcode or area. We have also listed these services by borough.
In addition to the charities, legal advice centres and other organisations helping EU Londoners on a one-to-one basis, there are also many events taking place across the capital, with some targeted at specific groups in the community. Our Hub’s events page is regularly updated to show new and upcoming events where you can, for example, get free immigration advice.
