Across the city, Londoners are hosting and joining events for the Festival of Ideas. From glassblowing to storytelling, they’re all asking the same question – what’s your vision of a strong community? You can still attend our closing event and join our poster competition, more information at the end of the page.
Mandie helps Londoners make connections in Ealing ...
For the Festival of Ideas, Mandie in Ealing hosted ‘Conversations Make Connections’ in Ealing. The event featured spoken word, storytelling and dance for Londoners to share experiences and make connections.
Here’s some of the night’s acts:
Poet and visual artist, Chidi 3 S, gave an amazing performance of his poetry. You can read more of his poems, and see his visual art on instagram.
Poet and spoken word artist Charni Gill performed a poem called ‘The World Could End’. The spoken-word piece does a great job capturing this moment in the pandemic.
Artist Zane created amazing paintings of some the performers, live during the show.
Thank you to Mandie for hosting this event as part of the Festival of Ideas. Well done to all the acts who took part. Here’s the full lineup: Khila poetry, Charni, Laurie O’Garro, Chidi 3s, Ley Speak, T Kotodama, Richard Marshall, SpaceTU, Anais Moves, Noah Wapiti, John Dali
