Community involvement event at City Hall

On 14 January 150 individuals and community groups from across London came to City Hall to discuss community involvement in the new Violence Reduction Unit.

One of the key goals of the Violence Reduction Unit is to involve communities at the heart of its work, and build their capacity to deliver the best long-term solutions to reduce violence.

This means everything the VRU does will be rooted in the community and shaped by their expertise.

You can read a summary of feedback and key themes discussed at the event and also the VRU's next steps as a result of this meeting.

Help shape the Violence Reduction Unit's priorities

One of the VRU’s early tasks will be to undertake a needs assessment to shape its priorities.

Do you have any work, or any examples of community views on the issue of violence in London that you can share? If so, please email [email protected].
