Celebrating Local Charities in London
On the 16th of December 2019, LDN Gov’s Twitter and Instagram account hosted Lewisham Youth Theatre (LYT) who took over their feeds and created content to showcase and celebrate the amazing work of their organisation.
To celebrate local charities and the integral role they play in the life of London’s Communities, City Hall had an open call to all the local charities they had funded in the last three years, to apply for the opportunity to take part in a social media take over.
LYT, the successful organisation, were given an insight into the world of Digital Communications, working with City Hall’s team to develop their content and campaign for the day.
LYT developed a greater understanding for using digital comms with intention, creating a successful campaign #Aintjustdrama, showcasing to LDN Gov’s 50k + audience members, the benefits and impact of the members of LYT found in being part of youth theatre.
Having the platform of LDN gov also allowed LYT to reach new audiences, increasing their following and their interactions from current stakeholders. Due to the traction of their campaign the takeover also raised their profile amongst youth arts institutions across the capital.
