Business and Economy

We're working to make London the best city in the world for businesses and Londoners, creating a fairer, more inclusive and prosperous economy for all.

London benefits from great economic strengths – it is a leading global city, a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation. With our vibrant cultural life, openness, tolerance and diversity, we are able to attract talent and investment from across the world.

We’re working alongside boroughs, organisations and other partners to provide businesses and communities with the help and tools they need to drive the economy and thrive in a changing world.

Now more than ever, it’s important to showcase our capital as the best place for work, visit and invest. London is already a world-leading city across several key sectors; my job is to ensure that London is number one.

I'm focused on supporting the thousands of small and medium-sized businesses and high streets at the heart of London's economy, and championing workplaces committed to best employment practice.
