Local area information
Hackney & Clapton
Historically, the land surrounding the Arcadia View development used to belong to the Hackney House Estate, which was built for the governor of the Bank of England at the time. In 1443, a second mill was constructed, developing the north and south 'Millfields' park names. The parks were opened for recreational use, as a result of a petition in 1884 to save the area from further construction.
Today, residents of Arcadia View can make the most of these nearby recreational parks and open space, while enjoying close proximity to the various bars, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping of Lower and Upper Clapton, as well as Lee Valley Ice Centre.
Clapton Train station is just a 10 minute walk away, while Homerton train station is 25 minutes away.
The development will have 62 spaces designated for secure cycle parking - there is no on-site parking available to encourage the use of greener transport options.
Arcadia View is within close proximity of several educational facilities catering for children and adolescents, including Riverside Nursery, Southwold Primary School, Rushmore Primary School and BSix Sixth Form College.
