Response information

Response date: Monday 8 September 2014

"Thank you for your petition presented by Caroline Pidgeon to the London Assembly plenary meeting on 16 July. I apologise for the delay in responding to you.

The shelter at Highbury Grange bus stop was unfortunately damaged following a road traffic collision on February this year. Prior to its replacement, Transport for London had to ensure that the replacement was located appropriately in order that it did not fall victim to a similar incident. On 13 June, TfL installed a new shelter slightly further away from the kerb to mitigate the risk of a further vehicle strike.

I trust this fully addresses the concerns raised.

Thank you again for writing to me.

Yours ever"
