The Mayor’s volunteering programme for London, Team London makes it quick and easy for Londoners to give their time, find volunteer opportunities and do great things for their city.

Whether it’s cleaning up the environment or volunteering at one of the capital’s great events, Team London mobilises the community spirit and enthusiasm of Londoners to make a difference.

Building on all the work that is already taking place in the capital, Team London focuses efforts on areas where volunteers can make the biggest impact. These areas are:

Making London a better place to live

Making the capital greener and cleaner, increasing healthy living, strengthening your local community, and getting involved in cultural and sporting events across the capital.

Increasing opportunities for young people

Giving young people the chance to gain experience and skills.

Legacy of 2012

2012 was an amazing year for volunteering; Team London Ambassadors provided an outstanding welcome to the capital’s visitors, Games Makers made the Games great, TfL’s Travel Ambassadors helped keep the capital moving, and many other Games-time initiatives inspired Londoners to volunteer.

Team London builds on the legacy of the Games to continue this fantastic work into 2013 and beyond.
