Equal Life Chances for All (2012)

The Mayor's Equality Framework

The Equal Life Chances for All framework 2012 highlights the Mayor’s commitment to tackling inequality; improving life chances, and removing barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential. We will ensure that equality is mainstreamed into everything the organisation does, including how it obtains goods and services.

The Equality Act 2010 replaced all previous equality legislation and covers all types of unlawful discrimination. This change enabled us to align our approach, revise and publish specific and measurable equality objectives as required under the Act. This equality framework goes above and beyond what is required by the Equality Act 2010.
