Vision and strategy - Equal life chances for all

The Mayor’s revised Equal Life Chances for All (2012) framework sets out how we include equality in everything the GLA does. It also highlights the GLA’s key achievements over the past two years.

Our equality objectives relate to issues such as health, education, employment, transport, housing, crime and violence against women and girls, volunteering, the Olympic and Paralympic Games and community engagement.

The Mayor wants London partners to work together to deliver his vision. This includes supporting the development of diverse markets, workforces and suppliers in London, particularly through the GLA group’s Diversity Works for London (external website) and Responsible Procurement programmes.

The Mayor set out his original equality framework for London in Equal Life Chances for All (2009).
