The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is used to tackle regional disparities across Europe. The ERDF supports regional development through actions such as business innovation and support and regeneration.
In consultation with London stakeholders, the European Programmes Management Unit (EPMU) drafted the London ERDF 2007-13 Operational Programme (OP). The OP describes how London will benefit from £330 million, including match funding, ERDF for 2007–2013. It was adopted by the European Commission on 7 December 2007. A November 2012 update was adopted by the European Commission on 26 April 2013.
