We are proud to announce the launch of the fourth annual London European Social Fund (ESF) Awards and European Regional Development Fund programme (ERDF) Awards ceremony.

The Awards will showcase the talents, skills and employment-related achievements of individuals and businesses benefiting from ESF and ERDF across London.

The 5 ESF award categories are:

• Young Learner / Participant of the Year (14-19 years)
• Adult Learner/ Participant of the Year (20+ years)
• Outstanding Achiever of the Year
• Progression onto an Apprenticeship
• Outstanding Mentor / Tutor /Employment Advisor of the Year

The 4 ERDF award categories are:

• Greenest Business
• Most Innovating Business
• Outstanding Business Growth
• Project Manager of the Year

The closing date for nominations is 26 October 2012 at 5pm. We regret that we will not be able to accept any entries received after this deadline.

The Awards ceremony will take place at City Hall on Monday 10 December 2012 and places will be prioritised for nominees and their guests.

To submit your nomination, please download and complete the nominee application form. Please complete the ESF application for ESF award entries and ERDF application for ERDF award entries.

Selection

Any participant or organisation that has been supported under the 2007-13 ESF and ERDF Programmes is eligible to submit a nomination entry. For more details on the selection criteria please download a copy of the Judging Panel Guidance.

An independent Regional Judging Panel will be convened between 25 October 2012 and 8 November 2012. There will be up to three finalists per award and the winner will be announced on the day. Please note that finalists will be asked to attend a filmed interview session at City Hall between 12 November 2012 and 23 November 2012.

The London ESF & ERDF Awards 2012 is a joint initiative between the Greater London Authority’s (GLA) European Programmes Management Unit who manage the ESF and ERDF programmes in London, and the five London ‘co-financing’ organisations that fund ESF projects: the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Skills Funding Agency, London Councils, GLA and the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).
