London's Housing Strategy

The London Assembly Housing Committee will tomorrow examine progress on the delivery of the Mayor’s Housing strategy. The Committee will question Jamie Ratcliff, Assistant Director - Programme, Policy and Services, Greater London Authority and John East, Director - Community Infrastructure Resources and Commercial Development, London Borough of Newham. Questions will focus on the following issues:

Housing Zones;

diversity in house-building;

the London Rental Standard

licensing of landlords;

affordable housing;

community-led developments;

overcrowding and under-occupation; and

the housing elements of the Armed forces Covenant.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 11 November from 10.00am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1). Media and members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting can also be viewed via webcast. Notes for Editors:
