Plenary – 10:00am in the Chamber

The London Assembly will put questions to Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, and Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe QPM, Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, on policing in London.

Following this, London Assembly Members will submit motions on topics of their choosing.

Air pollution – implications of Supreme Court ruling

Environment Committee – 10:00am in Committee Room 5

  • The Environment Committee will question the following guests about the implications of the recent Supreme Court ruling that the Government is failing to do enough to tackle the dangerously high levels of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) found in the UK:
  • Matthew Pencharz – Mayor’s Senior Adviser, Environment and Energy, Greater London Authority (GLA)
  • Elliot Treharne - Principal Policy & Programme Officer, Air Quality, GLA
  • Richard de Cani – Managing Director, Planning, Transport for London
  • Andrea Lee – Healthy Air London Coordinator, ClientEarth
  • Anna Heslop – Lawyer, ClientEarth
  • Jenny Bates – Friends of the Earth London and air pollution campaigner

SITE VISIT:

Tuesday 2 June

Regeneration Committee – site visit to Vauxhall Cross and Nine Elms, 8:45-11:45am

The Regeneration Committee will visit Vauxhall Cross to hear about TfL’s improvement plans, and the Nine Elms site to see how plans for the area are being progressed. This visit forms part of the Committee’s proposed investigation into transport-led regeneration.
