Replacement Met Commissioner timeline

The new Met Police Commissioner replacing Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe will take up their post just as the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan is being finalised. What input will the new Commissioner have into this plan?

The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will tomorrow question the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Sophie Linden and Deputy Commissioner Craig Mackey QPM about topics, which also include:

  • Henriques Review – Operation Midland
  • Changes to local policing: rank restructure
  • Knife crime
  • Online Hate Crime Hub
  • Met Enterprise

The meeting will take place on Thursday 20 October from 10.00am in the Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
