Environment Committee site visit – 2:45pm-4:00pm

The Environment Committee will visit St. Mary’s Secret Garden as part of its investigation into the management and enhancement of London’s green spaces. St. Mary’s is a community garden where vulnerable people and the local community can get hands-on experience of gardening, benefit from a sense of inclusion, develop employment skills and gain qualifications. The Committee will speak to managers, volunteers and users.

Olympic Park regeneration through the eyes of nearby artistic communities

Regeneration Committee site visit – 1:45pm-4:00pm

The Regeneration Committee will meet with artists in Hackney Wick and Fish Island to seek their views on culture and the impact of the regeneration of the Olympic Park. Topics for discussion will include collaboration with the London Legacy Development Corporation and the demolition of artists’ studios at Vittoria Wharf to make way for a pedestrian bridge.
