Pedestrianising Oxford Street

Transport Committee – 10:00am-12:00pm

The Transport Committee is investigating how the Mayor can fulfil his manifesto commitment to pedestrianise Oxford Street. Assembly Members will walk along the street as part of a site visit to help identify the implications for pedestrians, road users and retailers.

Accompanying them will be guests including Living Streets, Westminster City Council, the New West End Company and Publica.

Transport for London’s financial challenge

Budget and Performance Committee – 10:00am in the Chamber

The Budget and Performance Committee will question guests on the financial challenges facing Transport for London (TfL) – including delivery of the four-year freeze on TfL fares at a reported cost of £640 million - and what these financial restrictions will ultimately mean for passengers.

Changing the London Plan

The Planning Committee will examine how the Mayor expects to revise the London Plan to reflect London’s growth; and to what extent he will incorporate his own housing, employment and infrastructure policy priorities within it.
