Confirmation Hearings Committee – 2:30pm (or at the rising of MQT, whichever is the later) in the Chamber

The Confirmation Hearings Committee will put questions to the Mayor’s proposed appointee to the office of Chairman of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), Gareth Bacon AM, and make a recommendation to the Mayor on that appointment.

GLA Oversight Committee – 10:00am in Committee Room 5

GLA Oversight Committee will question officers on the Mayor’s resilience activities and will consider the proposal to establish a shared services arrangement with the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation to provide committee services.

Devolution in London

In the first section of the meeting the Devolution Working Group will discuss fiscal devolution and public service devolution and reform with:

Economy Committee – 8:00am for 8:30am start in London’s Living Room

The Economy Committee hosts a provocative debate at City Hall on the future of London’s financial services industry with Michael Wilson, Director of Business and Global Economics Editor for Arise TV Networks and former Business Editor Sky News, as Chair. How will the industry adapt to a new regulatory framework and compete with other global financial centres against a backdrop of growing public scrutiny?
