The London Assembly [1] will tomorrow question London Mayor Sadiq Khan for the second time since his election.
The Assembly questions the Mayor, in public, ten times a year at Mayor’s Question Time (MQT) meetings, as part of its role of holding him to account [2].
Tomorrow Assembly Members will ask him questions about the following topics and more:
- Impact on London of the National Funding Formula for schools
- The fares freeze
- Energy for Londoners and what it means
- Protecting the capital’s LGBT Community from terrorism
The role of the Assembly is to act as a check and balance on the activities of the Mayor.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 22 June from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend – numbers may be limited.

- The London Assembly is part of the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Assembly Members are elected every four years, at the same time as the Mayor. There are 25 London Assembly Members - twelve Labour, eight GLA Conservatives, two Green Party, two UKIP and one Liberal Democrat member.
