REPORT LAUNCH: Thursday 2 July Youth reoffending in London Police & Crime Committee The Police & Crime Committee will publish its report on youth reoffending trends in London. The report makes a number of recommendations for the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) to help support young offenders in London and to help them stop committing further offences. The report will be sent out on Wednesday 1 July under embargo. Budget & Performance Committee – 2:15pm in the Chamber The Met may need to make savings of up to £800 million by 2020 – how will it achieve this? In the first part of the meeting, Members will ask the National Audit Office (NAO) about how police forces have attempted to find savings by contracting out services to private partners. In the second half of the meeting, the Committee will hear from the following guests on how the Met plans to make savings in its back office and, in particular, its plans to outsource finance, procurement and HR services:
