Diesel emissions in London

In places, London’s air quality is among the worst in Europe. Official scientific figures estimate that there are thousands of premature deaths each year in London as a result. London’s pollution levels are also illegal, according to April’s Supreme Court ruling.

The London Assembly Environment Committee report will examine London’s efforts to reduce pollution from diesel cars, lorries, buses and taxis and make recommendations to improve the capital’s air quality.
