Noise and pollution generated by the 153 bus along Hemingford Road

‘We, the undersigned, wish to register our serious concerns about the current levels of noise and pollution generated by the 153 bus as it travels along the heavily residential Hemingford Road. The noise problem is particularly serious from 11pm until; the service ends after midnight, and between 5.00 and 8.00 in the morning. We call on transport for London to explore as a matter of urgency ways of mitigating this problem, in particular the possibility of either using smaller buses at these sensitive times or deploying on this route the new single-decker environmentally friendly (hybrid) buses as soon as possible.’
