London Assembly member, Gareth Bacon, has welcomed Boris’s initiative to help people in Lewisham insulate themselves again fast-rising fuel prices.
Speaking after the announcement of the Mayor’s RE:NEW programme, that will see homes in Lewisham receive advice or financial help covering everything from energy efficient light bulbs to cavity wall insulation, Mr Bacon said:
“Boris’s RE:NEW programme has huge potential to save people quite a lot of money over the course of a year. Some estimation suggest that savings could be as much as £180 a year – not an inconsiderable amount.
“On top of that it’s environmentally-friendly too.”
