On 21 December 2009 the Mayor signed off the existing Statutory Officers Staffing Protocol via MD504. Following the decision earlier this year to make the Chief Executive position redundant – and therefore to place the distinct Head of Paid Service and Greater London Returning Officer functions into the job descriptions of other, separate posts – it is proposed that the Protocol is now updated accordingly.
