The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) recently launched a revolving-loan fund for Custom Build Housing and a programme of seedcorn-funding for Community Right to Build. Outside London both will be administered by the Homes and Communities Agency and DCLG has agreed in principle to the GLA administering a reasonable allocation of the funding in London. DCLG are awaiting final proposals from the GLA before formal approval and release of the funds. This Mayoral Decision asks the Mayor to approve the GLA’s proposals to DCLG, and asks the Mayor to take the decisions required to enable the GLA to operate and administer the funding programmes, including the involvement of GLA Land and Property Limited if necessary or desirable.
