Gigs is the Mayor’s annual busking competition for young London musicians.

Since 2009, hundreds of talented performers have boosted their skills and confidence by playing live at famous London locations. These Gigs performers aren’t busking for money, they’re playing for your votes!

Gigs performances will take place at high profile London locations between 18 July and 8 August. Locations include St Paul’s Churchyard, Paddington Central, Westfield London, Westfield Stratford City and Network Rail stations including Kings Cross, Victoria, Euston, Liverpool Street and London Bridge. More details about locations, dates and performance times will be available soon at London.gov.uk/gigs

The finalists, as chosen by a panel of music industry experts and the public, will compete in the Gigs Grand Final at Westfield Stratford City on Sunday 6 September.

Gigs has already helped kick start the careers of Robbie Boyd, Charlotte Campbell, Tom Butler and The Tailormade. Your votes will help decide who’ll be stars of Gigs 2015.

Gigs is part of Busk in London, the Mayor’s new initiative to make London the world’s most busker friendly city. The live phase of Gigs is part of the first ever Busk in London Festival, where as well as music, there’ll be entertainment from some of the world’s best street performers.
