Today we’re releasing the London Official City Guide App which we’ve created with London & Partners, the official promo agency for the capital.

The App allows you to search comprehensive London listings, so whether you’re looking for free events, must see happenings or local attractions you can find it quickly and easily.

The ‘What’s on’ feature highlights ‘must see’ events today and ‘summer’ which brings together all the amazing events the Mayor is presenting in this summer like no other, such as Showtime, the largest outdoor arts festival London has ever seen and once in a lifetime Surprises.

You can also use the App to browse places such as local landmarks, museums and parks, London 2012 venues, and trails, which has info on our free walking Discovery Trails, where you can meet Games mascots Wenlock and Mandeville and Culture Trails, our weekend cultural days out.

Other features include an interactive map which allows you to search places and events nearby and plan your route. Plus you can save your favourite events, places and trails for later, or add them to your calendar, and share your London highlights and discoveries through Twitter and Facebook.

Finally, the App will also alert you to special offers, secret events and London announcements.
