Message from the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime

Sophie Linden
Created on
16 November 2016

Three weeks ago we launched a survey on Talk London to understand how Londoners felt about policing and crime across the capital.

The survey asked for your views on issues such as local policing, safety on public transport, keeping young people safe, tackling violence against women & girls, hate crime and extremism. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you very much for taking part.

Nearly 8000 Londoners took time to give us their views and analysis is well underway.

As well as the survey, members of the Talk London community took part in discussions with other Londoners on a number of issues of key importance to the Mayor including policing in your neighbourhood and the criminal justice service.

The results of the survey will be used to inform the development of the draft Police and Crime Plan which we aim to publish in December. You will be able to read the full draft plan and have another opportunity to give us your views on our detailed proposals.

The Talk London team will be in touch to let you know when it is published and how you can respond to the consultation.

Yours sincerely

Sophie Linden

Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime
