The People behind London New Year's Eve Fireworks

Kevin from See Tickets tells us what’s involved in managing a ticketed event for 110,000 people.

We’ve been working with City Hall since ticketing was introduced for London New Year’s Eve Fireworks in 2014. By now we know what to expect. Thanks to the briefing our London colleagues come up to Nottingham to give our See teams, we also have the answer to just about any ticket question our customers come up with!

I work closely with City Hall to make sure we offer the best service to ticket buyers. I’m involved in all aspects of our work on the event from start to finish. That’s everything from making sure the booking emails have the right message, to keeping the website up to date. I also handle day to day queries via our dedicated inbox. We help with ticket questions that come in via our social media too.

When it it’s time for tickets to be sent out, we have up to 15 people packing tickets. We even have people there on the night doing stuff like helping at access points and scanning tickets.

Of course for a hugely popular event like London New Year’s Eve Fireworks it’s impossible to guarantee everyone a ticket. It’s a simple case of supply and demand. First come, first served.

Please note that all tickets for London New Year's Eve Fireworks have now sold out.
