Storm Katie
Storm Katie hit southern England on Sunday night/Monday morning with wind speeds of up to 50 mph with the BBC reporting more than 100 flights diverted or cancelled at Gatwick and Heathrow airports. The storm also impacted the rail and power networks and saw heavy rain across the UK. London partners were involved, but no formal multi-agency coordination was required.

Health
NHS advice if the planned junior doctors industrial action goes ahead
Our colleagues in the National Health Service continue to plan for proposed industrial action by Junior doctors. If the next period of industrial action happens as planned from 0800 Wed 06 April – 0800 Fri 08 April, NHS advice to patients is that your hospital will contact you if they need to rearrange any planned operation, outpatient appointment or medical procedures.
Transport
There are planned closures on the Central line and London Overground as well as service changes (until Sunday) on London Trams. For full details of all Transport for London services, see the TfL website.
