Budding artists aged 5-14 are invited to design a London travelcard holder. Big Dance has teamed up with the Institute of Imagination for a fantastic competition. It invites young people to ‘dance through their imagination’ and send in their creative ideas.
The winner’s artwork will be printed onto 10,000 travelcard holders to be distributed around London. That’s the same as 12 full Tube trains’ worth of Londoners! The design will also be brought to life by Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality platform.
To get started, think about imagination. Think about dance. Then picture the two together. Who or what would dance? Where would the dance be? What music or sound would the dance be to? Perhaps it would be silent? How would the dance make the dancer of audience feel? As imagination has no bounds, neither does the competition, so each young artist can enter as many times as they like.
There is one rule however. The closing date for entries is 5pm, Monday 4 April 2016.
