The Mayor and Assembly Members must declare their interests in the Standing Register of Interests; for example, any paid employment outside of the GLA.

They must register their interets with the GLA’s Monitoring Officer within 28 days of starting their term of office. If their interests change, an updated notification must be sent within 28 days.

To be more open and transparent, the Mayor has specified that the interests of his team are published too. We also publish the interests of our senior staff: those who may take formal decisions on behalf of the Authority.

There are many different types of interests that must be registered including gifts and hospitality, other public management positions and contracts.
