GO! London Fund
The GO! London partnership and fund
The Mayor of London, London Marathon Charitable Trust, and Sport England, with strategic guidance from London Sport and London Marathon Events, have come together in a new GO! London partnership.
GO! London is a unique collaboration and the biggest community sport fund in London. This fund will use sport and physical activity to transform the lives of children and young people aged four to 24 in London.
The Go! London Partnership will support young people in need of support, such as special educational needs, exclusion from school, lack of education, employment, risk of involvement in gangs or exploitation, domestic violence and abuse, refugee or asylum seeker status, social worker involvement, low income or poverty, and low levels of physical activity. Funding distributed under this programme will help these young people realise their potential.
Support available
The Go! London Fund will offer a variety of interventions, including (but not limited to):
- grants of up to £40,000 for community groups to continue and expand their sport and physical activity provision for young people
- grants of up to £150,000 for organisations to scale up pilots, develop innovative projects, or adapt their provision to better meet the needs for underserved young Londoners through sport
- entrepreneur grants for young people to develop their social enterprise ideas in the sporting sector.
Funded projects will improve wellbeing, employability skills, community connections, safety, reduce loneliness, and create positive experiences of physical activity, all while involving young people in the design of their experiences.
